Post-16 teacher training & English language teaching

Teaching and education is a rewarding, varied and fulfilling career and an increasingly popular career choice. There is a range of different teaching qualifications that are available and offered by CRC for both teachers at the start of their career in post-16 education and for more experienced professionals wishing to improve or upgrade through professional development.

We also offer courses for those who have more of a supporting role in the classroom or those who deliver staff training within their workplace.

All our courses are taught by professional lecturers, who have extensive experience of teaching in the sector. You will be provided with an academic tutor throughout your course. Our higher-level courses are awarded by Ascentis.

What courses can I study?

We offer both part time and full-time courses and online part time courses.

Our teaching qualifications are suitable for those wanting to teach in Post 16 Further Education and Sixth Form Colleges. They do not qualify you to teach in primary or secondary schools. However, with adaptions you will be able to teach 14+ years in secondary schools.

We also offer a range of English language teacher training programmes including CELTA, CLIL.

These qualifications provide training for individuals who aspire to or lead training within their institutes. It enables those who hold a teaching role to develop their teaching with up-to-date practice, so they provide quality first teaching in their classrooms.
