Student Accommodation - Cambridge Regional College

Student Accommodation

There are many accommodation options for international students studying with us. Our dedicated Student Accommodation Officer will be here to help make sure you feel safe, comfortable and welcomed during your stay in Cambridge.

Homestay

Students live with a local English-speaking host in their home. The host provides accommodation, together with breakfast and evening meal each day, plus lunch on Saturday and Sunday. A homestay does not necessarily mean father, mother and child – we have a diverse range of homestay providers.

When you enrol on a course you need to specify the type of accommodation you require. You will then be sent an application form. The accommodation officer will arrange a homestay on your behalf. We also advise you to have a valid insurance policy for your personal belongings before moving into your homestay accommodation. You can do this when applying for your travel insurance.

Halls of Residence

Our accommodation officer has contact details of local providers of student residences. If you prefer to stay in residential accommodation please indicate this on the accommodation form. The accommodation officer will help to put you in contact with the relevant provider.

Please note residential accommodation is only suitable for students aged 18 years and over, and all fees will be paid directly to the residence.

If this is your preference, please indicate this on the accommodation form.

Private Rented Shared House

Accommodation is in a shared house with other students/ professionals. In addition to rent, students need to budget for gas, electricity, water and food. You may also be asked to pay a deposit or fees before you are allowed to move in.

Private rented accommodation is only suitable for students aged 18 years and over. Please note that the fees will be paid directly to the estate agent/landlord and the college plays no part in this arrangement.
