We are pleased to offer a number of fully-funded Level 3 qualifications to adults who have not yet gained a Level 3 qualification. Courses are available at our Cambridge and Huntingdon campuses and online. The level 3 adult offer is part of the Lifetime Skills Guarantee announced by the Prime Minister in September 2020. This offer is a long-term commitment to remove the age constraints and financial barriers for adults looking to study for their first level 3 qualification so that they can access training to enable them to progress.

The government is investing £2.5 billion in the National Skills Fund. The National Skills Fund will help adults to train and gain the valuable skills they need to improve their job prospects. It will support the immediate economic recovery and future skills needs by boosting the supply of skills that employers require.

AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting

About this qualification

In this qualification you will master more complex accounting disciplines including financial processes, advanced bookkeeping, final accounts and ethical practices for accountants. 

The accountancy skills developed by studying this qualification will enable you to seek employment with confidence, and/or to progress to the next level of learning.

CMI Diploma Principles of Management and Leadership

About this qualification

This qualification is aimed at practising or aspiring managers who supervise or manage a team, or project officer and shift manager to achieve clearly-defined outcomes.

You will learn how managers monitor goals and objectives by providing instruction, direction and guidance. Day-to-day operational and project activities are a key part of their role.

NCFE CACHE Diploma in Adult Care

About this qualification

This qualification develops the knowledge and skills needed when working in a lead adult care worker role in care settings.

It covers a wide range of areas including supporting individuals with their physical and emotional care, daily living needs and health and social care procedures. 

NCFE CACHE Technical Certificate in Childcare and Education

About this qualification

The NCFE CACHE Level 3 Technical Diploma in Childcare and Education (Early Years Educator) prepares learners to become Early Years Educators, enabling them to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged up to 7 years. Upon achievement of this qualification learners will be able to enter the workforce with the professional title of Early Years Educator or access Higher Education.

NCFE CACHE Diploma in Early Years Workforce

About this qualification

The Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) prepares learners to become Early Years Educators, enabling them to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years.

Upon achievement of this qualification it is intended that learners will be able to enter the workforce as Early Years Educators.

NCFE CACHE Diploma in Playwork (NVQ)

About this qualification

This qualification provides in-depth information about the role of the Level 3 playworker when working with children and young people between the ages of 4 to 16.

It provides an understanding of the management of play environments and the line management of other staff. The Diploma covers the knowledge and skills needed when working unsupervised.

NCFE CACHE Certificate in the Principles of End of Life Care

About this qualification

This qualification provides learners with an understanding of the principles of end of life care, including knowledge of:

• The definition of end of life care
• Approaches to end of life care
• How to support a person’s familial, spiritual, social and emotional needs
• How to confront issues of death and bereavement.

This qualification is intended for those who work in the Health and Social Care sector whose role includes caring for those who have a life-limiting illness. This qualification is suitable for learners aged 16 and above.

NCFE CACHE Certificate in Understanding Mental Health

NCFE CACHE Certificate in Understanding the Principles of Dementia Care

About this qualification

This qualification enables learners to develop knowledge and understanding of caring for individuals with dementia. Successful completion of the units will allow learners to develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of dementia and its effects.

The objectives of this qualification are to enable learners to understand:

• Types of dementia and the importance of early diagnosis
• Person-centred approaches in dementia care
• The role of communication, interaction and inclusion in dementia care and support
• The use of medication to support individuals with dementia.

Online Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Autism

About this qualification

EAL Diploma in Engineering Technologies

About this qualification

This course is specifically designed for learners undertaking specific pathways within an advanced Apprenticeship or 16-19 year old learners in full time education who are interested in pursuing a career in the engineering sector, including occupations and job roles such as maintenance engineer, mechanical engineer, welder and/or fabricator, and electrical and/or electronic engineer.

The qualification may also be suitable for other learners, including adults, who are interested in engineering technology and/or are considering a career change.

Pearson BTEC Extended Diploma in Engineering

About this qualification

This qualification extends and deepens the specialist work-related focus from the BTEC Level 3 Diploma. There is potential for the qualification to prepare learners for appropriate direct employment in the vocational sector and it is suitable for those who have decided that they clearly wish to enter a particular specialist area of work.

Some learners may wish to gain the qualification in order to enter a specialist area of employment or to progress to a higher education foundation degree, HND or other professional development programme.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Foundation Diploma in Computing

About this qualification

This industry facing Study Programme will give you an excellent grounding into the rapidly changing IT world in terms of understanding expectations, opportunities, roles and responsibilities and how the IT area relates to and permeates into all aspects of our daily lives including social, employment and global commerce. Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Foundation Diploma in Engineering

About this qualification

Most learners on the BTEC Level 3 programme work towards a BTEC Level 3 Foundation Diploma in year one and progress onto an extended Diploma in year two. The emphasis is on learning theories, concepts and practices within engineering that will provide knowledge and understanding to enable the learner to analyse, solve and evaluate real engineering problems.

IMI Level 3 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles (VRQ)

About this qualification

This one-year programme aims to enable you to diagnose problems in a range of vehicle systems. You will gain an advanced understanding of engine transmission, electrical systems and chassis systems, while exploring the essential knowledge of working in the industry. 

This course is suitable for learners aged 16 and over, who are looking to enter the motor vehicle industry at a higher level through the study of the practical and theoretical aspects of vehicle maintenance.
