Safeguarding - Cambridge Regional College

Safeguarding

Everyone has the right to feel safe all of the time.

Cambridge Regional College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults. This means that staff will make sure that students feel safe and supported whilst at college. We will also keep staff and visitors safe whilst working or visiting the College.

All staff are responsible for safeguarding regardless of role. We have a dedicated Safeguarding Team and we encourage students to contact a member of the team should they feel they need to.

Safeguarding information is available on the college’s Virtual Learning Environment and is also available on request via The Hub.

Wear your ID – It is essential that you wear your ID badge at all times whilst on site.

If you are concerned that you or someone you know is at risk of harm or radicalisation please contact one of the Designated Safeguarding Team via The Hub or email

CRC Values

Our #WeAreCRC values, which were developed in consultation with student and staff development groups, underpin the way we conduct ourselves.  Staff and students are expected to be:

Welcoming  – We are friendly and open to everyone

Empowering  – We work to unlock the potential in everyone

Aspirational – We believe that, with hard work and support, everyone can achieve anything

Resilient –  We support everyone to overcome hurdles and to turn challenges into opportunities

Excellent – We set high standards, and support and challenge everyone to achieve them

Courageous – We encourage everyone to step outside their comfort zone, to seek better results

Respectful – We recognise that everyone is different and is a valued individual

Collaborative – We work together to share ideas and resources

Our CRC and fundamental British values are at the heart of everything we do. We stand up for democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect. We also encourage our students to show tolerance for those with different faiths and beliefs.
