Summer Schools: discovering life in the UK

When you enrol on the International Centre Summer Schools, the team at Cambridge Regional College make it their top priority to ensure that you enjoy every moment, both in your free time as well as your academic learning.

Cambridge is a thriving city full of history, architecture and students! As well as having a bustling city on your doorstep, the surrounding areas deliver a mix of green spaces, museums, adventure and culture. We want you to experience life in the UK as fully as possible during your stay and our full programme of activities will provide you with the opportunity to experience a full range of activities.

College life is important at CRC, so it is our first priority to ensure that you have time to socialise with your peers while on campus. The social programme is designed to encourage fun, team building activities so that you can bond with your other on the summer school and with new students that you may meet while staying with us.

Each week, we host a BBQ for international students and throughout your stay we will arrange activities within college including sporting events, the opportunity to cook in our professional kitchens for your very own afternoon tea and the chance to use the climbing wall to test out your climbing abilities.

Outside of college life, we work with an agency called Travel-Sights to organise social activities within Cambridge, allowing you explore our wonderful city. Discover the parks, museums and architectural magnificence of our universities.

To complete your experience in the UK, we also arrange weekend excursions so that you can explore some of the most desirable destinations in England, including London; the world-famous capital with its double decker buses, iconic landmarks and cultural diversity, Brighton; the classic seaside town on the south coast, known for its bustling nightlife and sunny skies, and Oxford; home to the Bicester Shopping Village. All of your favourite designer brands in one place and better still, at outlet prices!

Coming to study at Cambridge Regional College is an excellent opportunity to perfect your English skills and explore academic study routes but it is also a fantastic way to immerse yourself in the British culture and discover what life is like in the UK.
