On Thursday, 18 December, our Year 2 Forensics and Criminal Investigation students showcased their research projects in a poster presentation. Each student presented their work to a panel of judges, who engaged in detailed discussions about their research and findings before voting for the winner and highly commended entries.
The winning project explored the differences between male and female serial killers using Fred and Rosemary West as examples.
The students’ posters covered fascinating areas including the psychology of murderers, forensic timelines, and mock crime scene analysis, all part of the students’ ACE subject specialism project.

Julie Webb, Course Leader, praised the students’ efforts, saying:
“The quality and creativity of the students’ work was excellent, making it a very hard job for the judges to choose the winners.
“This research project has allowed students to put their passion to work in ways that are both relevant and practical, with some even including their projects in their UCAS applications evidencing their skill and accomplishments.”
Congratulations to all involved for the months of hard work and research brough together in clear and insightful presentations.
