As the end of the summer term arrives, Cambridge Regional College hosted the annual Festival of Achievement to celebrate another successful academic year.
The Festival of Achievement is a week-long event that celebrates success across curriculum areas, apprenticeships, and staff teams. In previous years this has involved a series of onsite events and awards presentations, but this year saw the event move online, with a total of 11 virtual awards ceremonies taking place, recognising the achievements of more than 150 students and staff.
Principal, Mark Robertson, said, “The Festival of Achievement is an opportunity for the whole college community to come together to celebrate success. This year has been a particularly difficult year, but the resilience and strength demonstrated across the college community has resulted in this being a highly successful year.”
Across the curriculum areas students were awarded in the categories of Outstanding Academic Achievement, Student of the Year, and the WeAreCRC Award for students that consistently demonstrate the college values. Awards for Apprentices of the Year and Employer of the Year were awarded for apprenticeships, and college staff were awarded for their outstanding support of students, the community, and employers.
