ESOL online with CRC

English as a Second or Other Language is a course delivered to improve the English language skills of individuals with an alternative mother language. Historically these courses have been delivered in a face-to-face setting at the Cambridge or Huntingdon campus of Cambridge Regional College, however the course delivery has recently been extended to include online delivery, improving accessibility to learning.

In addition to improving learners’ English skills in the areas of speaking, listening, grammar and writing and their understanding of life in the UK, the online ESOL course provides the opportunity for students to improve their IT skills through the regular use of computers and Microsoft Teams.

The first cohort of online learners commenced their online learning last year and initial feedback has been very promising with one Online Level 2 learner saying,

I really enjoyed this English course, and I am very grateful that CRC opened this online evening class. For me, as a full-time worker, it was a great opportunity to join the course as I didn’t have to travel to the college and could join from home or from work.
