Cambridge Regional College has launched a new Employer Showcase scheme to support the recruitment of apprentices across the region. Showcase events are designed to bring individuals seeking an apprenticeship and employers with apprenticeship opportunities together making the process easier for all parties.
To date, the CRC Employer Engagement team has worked in partnership with two local employers to host Employer Showcase events, firstly at St Ives based telecommunications company, Magdalene, followed by a second event at Munro Building Services, Oakington. The two events have highlighted opportunities in Customer Service, Business Administration and Engineering which has resulted in the successful recruitment of two apprentices and the development of a new Industry Placement partnership to provide work experience opportunities to young people studying at Cambridge Regional College.
Kerry Attfield, Employment Engagement Manager at CRC, said, “The Employer Showcase events are an exciting opportunity to bring potential candidates and employers together in an informal setting. The events allow individuals looking for an apprenticeship to meet the team, take a tour of the offices, and learn more about the business enabling them to make an informed decision about their next steps.”
