After leaving school, Danielle Perry trained as a legal secretary while working in an office role and spent many years in the industry before a new employer offered her the opportunity to undertake further learning at the age of 46.
Cambridge Regional College had been recommended as a good place for an adult learner to study, and after completing her functional skills qualifications, Danielle progressed onto the Level 3, followed by Level 4, Business & Administration course.
Danielle said, “CRC was very organised and professional. I found the whole experience extremely fulfilling. I learned so much from the course which I continue to use in my role as Finance & Business Development Manager with Crossroads. My tutors were friendly, patient and supportive making the whole process easy and enjoyable. The content was challenging but achievable which made the hard work worthwhile.”
Since completing her Business and Administration qualifications, Danielle has set her sights on securing the position of Registered Manager, a role she describes as her ultimate goal.
Danielle added, “I felt such a great sense of achievement when I passed my qualifications and if I hadn’t undertaken the adult learning with CRC, I certainly wouldn’t be in the position I am now. I believe I have the knowledge and skills to move further up the career ladder.”
Danielle would urge anyone considering further education not to hesitate, concluding, “Take the plunge and go for it, you certainly will not regret it. Cambridge Regional College makes your dreams a reality.”
