College hosts ‘Grow Your Business’ workshop

Businesses keen to grow were given a boost at a free workshop held at Cambridge Regional College – with advice, inspirational case studies and up-to-date funding and training information.

“Grow Your Business”, organised by Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce, was held in the college’s Smartlife conference centre and attracted around 50 delegates.

Companies were encouraged to think about and plan for business growth by looking at examples of successful growth, different routes to growth and interactive sessions.

The college, one of the country’s top 20 apprenticeship providers, also delivered a presentation on apprenticeships and their benefits to business development.

David McElroy, from CRC’s employer engagement team, said the workshop had been very popular.

“The Chamber organised an excellent event for growing businesses and we were delighted to be able to support it by hosting it at the college,” he said.

Delegates also heard about the latest initiatives from the Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough Enterprise Partnership and how Signpost 2 Grow and other partners could help businesses grow.
