CRC students explore careers in the Ambulance Service

Luca with his tutors

Former student, Luca Ferrow, visited Health and Social Care students to talk about his journey from CRC to qualifying as a paramedic and his plans to complete a Masters degree in 2021.

Luca studied with CRC approaching 4 years ago and he excelled in his studies, receiving an award for best medical practise. Upon graduation from CRC, Luca went to Portsmouth University where he qualified as a paramedic. Luca is now working for the South Central Ambulance Service.

During the question and answer, Luca shared,“I don’t know what to expect on a daily basis, but there is a fulfilment that I don’t believe I could get in any other job.”

Luca’s advice for Higher Education, “It may take a while to secure the place you want and you will have days that are stressful, but keep ploughing through.”
