It’s National Apprenticeship Week (February 5th-11th)! We are celebrating the apprenticeship scheme with current apprentices, future apprentices and the employers that work with us to provide apprenticeship opportunities.
Apprenticeships provide a route into a fulfilling career and help people to develop the skills employers need. The National Apprenticeship Week 2024 (NAW24) theme is ‘Skills for Life’; highlighting that apprenticeships are for all ages and different career stages, whether you’re entering into a profession or an experienced professional looking to progress and upskill – they can be the training solution for you and your business.
CRC is the largest provider of apprenticeships in the region and is recognised by Ofsted as being Strong for Skills for its work with the region’s employers in meeting skills training requirements.
National Apprenticeship Week is a great time to shout about the achievements of apprentices and the positive contribution they make to communities, businesses and the wider economy.
When it comes to apprenticeships at CRC, there is lots to shout about! During the week we will be sharing positive stories from current and former CRC apprentices, highlighting the full scope of career potential for prospective apprentices.
There are plenty of activities planned to celebrate apprenticeship success and to support our current students.
On Tuesday 6th February, we are hosting the CRC Apprenticeship Awards 2024. On the night 20 awards will be presented to winning Apprentices and Apprentice Employers across different sectors with the Overall Apprentice and Overall Employer winners being unveiled.
During the week current CRC apprentices will benefit from taking part in competitions and CRC students can attend apprentice employer talks delivered by local businesses.
To further support those considering an apprenticeship as their next step there are NAW24 events at both campuses:
CRC runs apprenticeship courses across a wide range of sectors and professions:
