Cambridge Regional College shortlisted as a finalist in the Public Sector Catering Awards 2025

We’re pleased to share that CRC’s Catering, Hospitality and Culinary Arts team is celebrating after being shortlisted once again as a finalist in the national Public Sector Catering Awards!

The nomination is for the College Catering Award, which celebrates the training and education of the next generation of chefs in a public sector funded environment. This award seeks to single out exceptional service in this area, and is open to individuals, teams or organisations that have provided inspirational courses and delivered exceptional results.

CRC trains Cambridgeshire’s catering and hospitality workforce and future talent through its Catering, Hospitality and Culinary Arts courses and apprenticeships at a range of levels at its Cambridge campus. Students learn in state-of-the-art training and production kitchens, equipped to the highest professional standard, and CRC’s Restaurant and Café at the Park, Cambridge, which is run by students and provides fantastic quality and great value food for the public.

CRC has links with top employers and restaurants providing work experience opportunities and apprenticeship prospects. Local and national employers the college works with include Sodexo, Compass Group, private gastro pubs, Cambscuisine, and University of Cambridge colleges: King’s College, Trinity College, Sidney Sussex, and Newnham College.

The CRC team has an impressive record of award wins and national recognition, having been shortlisted for this award four times and winners three times. The winners will be unveiled at the Public Sector Catering Awards ceremony in London on the 9th April. Good luck to the team!
