About the Course

This course will provide the basic but essential skills of general mechanical workshop practice by using hand-fitting techniques, machining skills (including milling, turning and grinding), and will provide students with safe, standard and well-proven workshop practices, allowing you to fully utilise the College's excellent facilities.

You could progress onto other Engineering courses at Cambridge Regional College.

Entry Requirements

There are no specific entry requirements for this course, but experience of the Engineering profession is preferred.

Assessment

Informal verbal assessment will take place during each session on a one-to-one or group basis as required. Post evaluation sheets given to monitor effectiveness of the programme. A college certificate of attendance will be supplied.
