Installation of Air Source Heat Pumps

This NICEIC accredited course is for those wishing to install and maintain air source heat pump systems (non-refrigerant circuits). It is suitable for gas service technicians, heating and ventilation engineers or plumbers looking to become a heat pump engineer.

The course is split into 2 days and covers:

Day 1: Training, considerations relating to a successful installation and commission to include health & safety, operation, installation, commission, service and repair of air source heat pumps.

Day 2:  Assessment, comprising of theory and practical exams.

Successful completion of this course leads to certification which is valid for 5 years and demonstrates competence in this technology.

Renewal will be required after 5 years.

This course would also meet the mandatory requirements for a business seeking MCS accreditation (fees payable) and upon acceptance, access to the government grant scheme.

Pre-requisites apply, which would be checked on application.

Mandatory Minimum requirements will be:

Valid Unvented Hot Water Certificate

Valid Water Regulations Certificate

Course will consist of 1 days Training / 1 Days Assessment.

All training material is provided and can be kept for the candidate’s future use.
