Travel & Tourism

Travel & Tourism is one of the UK’s fastest-growing industries. Opportunities exist both in the UK and abroad in tour operation, tour management and in the airline industry.

Our courses provide great work experience opportunities with leading travel organisations, from airports to hotels, and exciting visits to external businesses, giving you the skills and knowledge to progress to careers with international companies.

Past students have gone on to study at universities including ARU, Hertfordshire University and Buckinghamshire New University, specialising in subjects such as events management and tourism, air transport with commercial pilot training and tourism management. Other students choose to go straight into work – for instance in busy city tourist offices – or to an apprenticeship.

In addition to your main qualification in Travel & Tourism, you will gain wider employability skills, English, Maths & IT, personal learning skills and social and community skills are highly valued by employers and will make you a more rounded, employable professional.
