You will also be able to familiarise yourself with the college and the specialist rooms you will be using when your course starts. You will be required to attend for a minimum of 2 days (to be confirmed). Activities will start at 9am and finish at approximately 4pm.

College buses will also be available for you to use completely free of charge for our July Taster Days.

When attending our Taster Days you will need to bring a pen, paper and either a packed lunch or some money to buy lunch from one of the college’s catering outlets.

Some courses may require special clothing or equipment; details will be included with your Taster Day information that will be sent to you.

On your Taster Days, you will be expected to actively participate in the following:

  • Activities related to your course.
  • A short online assessment to assess
    your literacy and numeracy levels
  • A handwriting exercise (if not already
    completed at your Welcome Event).

your course, where you will have the
    opportunity to ask questions about
your future studies. You may also be
set a subject-related piece of work to
be completed over the summer which
will be handed in during your induction
    in September.
