Charity fundraiser Robert Pratley will be donning his running shoes for the Cambridge Half Marathon this month, raising money in memory of friends and family affected by cancer.
The Cambridge Regional College plumbing assessor will be running the race on 28 February for the second time, doing his bit to help raise money for much-needed research.
He will also be running in this year’s ‘Flaming June’ multi-terrain half marathon at Impington and planning to cycle from London to Paris this summer – offering to raise money for other good causes in need.
Five years ago he took part in the arduous bike challenge to help Action Medical Research, a charity dedicated to improving the health of children and babies throughout the UK.
“It’s my second time doing the half marathon to raise money for cancer research as I have had friends and family affected by cancer and wanted to do my bit to help,” he said.
“I’m also hoping to raise money for other good causes in the summer and looking for suggestions on which charities to help.”
