Peter Butler Case Study
Peter Butler works for GMB Carpentry based in Great Shelford. He has just completed his Intermediate Apprenticeship in Site Carpentry and plans to progress onto the Advanced Level.
He has recently won two awards: the Faculty of Construction Apprentice of the Year Award 2016 and also the Overall Apprentice of the Year Award 2016. This was in recognition of his hard work and outstanding contribution towards his Apprenticeship work.
Peter said about his apprenticeship and on winning these awards:
“Since leaving school I had tried many different career paths and it was only through the help of GMB Carpentry that I thought I’d try my hand at carpentry. However, this has been the most rewarding decison of my life and CRC was a huge part of that.
Without the amazing facilities and learning CRC has to offer, I would not be as confident and well equipt to tackle the most challenging of carpentry problems which holds me in a much better position in my day-to-day work.
To not only receive the Apprentice of the Year 2016 for the Faculty of Construction, but also overall CRC Apprentice of the Year 2016 is mind blowing and something I will cherish for the whole of my career.”
