If you do not submit a supporting statement, along with your application form, it will not be considered for shortlisting. Your CV will not be accepted instead of an application form. The application form assists us in the shortlisting process and ensures that all applicants have a similar opportunity to present their skills, experience and qualifications to us. If you do not use our application form, your application will not be considered.
You should include any information you think is necessary to show us that you meet the requirements of the person specification and that you are able, or have the potential, to carry out the duties described in the job description. Following the closing date for applications, the line manager responsible for the vacancy reviews the applications and shortlists with advice from Human Resources.
Following the completion of the shortlisting stage, we will inform all applicants by email to advise them whether or not they have been selected for the next stage.
Typically, we will invite you by email to attend one or more interviews with appropriate members of staff. We may also ask you to undertake practical assessment exercises relevant to the vacancy for which you have applied. Your email inviting you to interview will set out what you will be asked to do and the names of the people you will see.

Depending on the role you have applied for, interviews are usually held at either the Kings Hedges Road campus in Cambridge or California Road Campus in Huntingdon. The location will be clearly stated in the email inviting you to interview.
Yes, free visitors parking is available at both the Cambridge and Huntingdon campuses.
You should bring with you to the interview original ID showing evidence of your right to work in the UK. This would ideally be a passport, however if you don’t have your passport, then please bring your birth certificate along with a document confirming your National Insurance number.
