You will be emailed your provisional statement of results on 20 August by the close of the working day (5pm). We anticipate the majority will be delivered in the course of the morning, but if you have not received them by 5pm on Thursday please do contact CRCexams@camre.ac.uk and we will look in to this for you on Friday. We will also post out your provisional statement of results on the same day.
Please note – results will be emailed to your college email address only and not your personal email. If you have moved recently or will be moving over the summer – please ensure the College has up to date address details for you.
Results will not be released from BTEC on the 20th August. These are being reviewed by BTEC. This applies to:
When we have a further update, it will be detailed here.
These results will be issued as soon as they are released by the awarding organisation
For Level 3 (BTEC / A-Level equivalent), most students should now have received their results. Please note results are often released in batches from the Awarding Body to the College which has meant a delay for a small number of students. We are working closely with Awarding Bodies to address this and as soon as we receive your results, we will post them out on the same day that we receive them.
For other Level 3 qualifications we will send through your certificate by post as soon they are available.
In light of the Government announcement this week, we will be following the latest guidance from Ofqual and awarding organisations. As we receive results from awarding organisations, we will process and send them out to students as quickly as possible.
If you still haven’t received your results and were expecting them, please contact us at CRCexams@camre.ac.uk
Update – 25th August
We now know that revised BTEC results will start to be issued to us later this week, starting with level 3. We will receive these in batches and they be sent out by post to your home address when we get them.
If you have already received your certificate, you will only receive a replacement if your grades have changed. Grades will not go down.
If you have not received your certificate for a BTEC level 1, 2 or 3 qualification, we will send you an updated results slip by post as soon as we have carried out our checks. We will send results slips even if grades have not changed.
Please be assured that if you have already been issued with a BTEC grade it will not go down.
Please note that as these are released in batches, results will not all be sent out at the same time. We will continue to post updates here.
Update – 19th August
We have been advised that all BTEC qualifications will now be reviewed by the awarding organisation, and this may result in re-grading. This means that level 1 and level 2 BTEC results will not be issued on 20th August. Level 3 BTEC results will be reviewed and new results and certificates issued shortly.
We realise this may cause you some concern. Please be assured that if you have already been issued with a BTEC grade it will not go down, but it may go up.
We will be working at pace to ensure any new grades are re-issued so that all affected students have accurate results quickly.
We will continue to post updates here as soon as we have them.
19th August 2020
You will be aware of a number of announcements that have been made by the Department of Education and Ofqual in the last 24 hours. Whilst most of this information relates to A Levels and GCSEs, the situation regarding Level 3 vocational qualifications is currently less clear. Please follow this link to access the most up to date information on qualifications: https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/ofqual
We will provide more information as we continue to receive it. All the information we have put on our website is published in good faith, and reflects awarding organisation guidance. We are now aware of some delays to a small number of BTEC QCF Level 3 qualifications which have yet to be released. We are working with Pearson, the awarding organisation, to get these to you as soon as possible. We are also aware of possible delays to a small number of Level 2 vocational qualifications, and are working with awarding organisations to provide an update as soon as possible.
Due to the impact of Covid-19 on this year’s exams and assessments, we have put into place a special results appeals and complaints process for these summer results. This is to ensure there is a quick response in line with the awarding organisations’ and Ofqual’s guidance (known as the Extraordinary Regulatory Framework) for this set of results. Ofqual has published a student guide to help students and a Parent/Carer Guide to help you understand how results have been awarded this year and where to find more information.
You cannot challenge your school or college under the appeals process on the centre assessment grade(s) it submitted or your rank order position.
You can ask the college to check whether it made a mistake when submitting your centre assessment grade(s) or your position in the rank order(s). If the college finds it made a mistake in the data it provided it can ask the exam board to correct it. If you have concerns about bias, discrimination or anything else that suggests that the college did not behave with care or integrity when determining a centre assessment grade or providing evidence to the awarding organisation, you can ask the college to investigate this.
The government has announced that students will be able to appeal to receive ‘valid mock grades’ if they’re not happy with their calculated grades – and we know you may have questions about this. We’re waiting for more details on how this will work and we’ll update our website as soon as we know more.
Please email QT@camre.ac.uk with full details of your concern within 10 working days of receiving your result.
Colleges can submit an appeal on a student’s behalf, and in some cases awarding organisations will accept appeals directly from students.
If you wish to receive details of your Centre Assessed Grade, please follow this link to complete the template. Then email the completed template to QT@camre.ac.uk with CAG Request in the subject heading. You must do this yourself, rather than a parent or carer. You will receive an acknowledgement of your concern within 3 working days. Centre Assessed Grades cannot be released before the awarding organisation’s release date. We are unable to provide details of ranking as this may breach GDPR.
Further details on appeals processes are available on each awarding organisation’s websites.
Yes. We will send full details of how you can contact relevant staff in the email containing your provisional statement of results. We also will be running Advice Cafés online, and on site, on results day and after, so you can access any support and guidance you need.
