You will complete relevant work experience and, if necessary, you will study further English and Maths.

Progression

After successful completion of the course you can progress onto a related Higher Education course within this field. You can look for employment as a junior software developer, junior network engineer or a network administrator assistant.

Entry Requirements

You will need one of the following qualifications - Minimum of 4 GCSEs at grades 9 - 4 (A* - C), including English or Maths, OR - A BTEC Level 2 Certificate/Extended Certificate or First Diploma, OR - A Level 2 NVQ in relate subject area e.g. ICT, Infrastructure Systems

Assessment

You are assessed on a variety of written and practical tasks for each subject. You will be expected to build a portfolio of evidence for presentation to tutors throughout the year.
