This qualification is for those who are working or looking to gain entry in the role of Lead Internal Quality Assurance for organisations. Applicants are able to undertake a mix of units, dependent upon their circumstances in both accredited learning and non-accredited learning, not just NVQs.
The qualification is designed to provide the knowledge and assessment opportunities to achieve the Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Process and Practice.
Participants will need to discuss their current circumstances and previous Internal Quality Assurance qualifications in order to get the advice and choice of units to undertake. This initial meeting will be part of a pre-assessment workshop where the training course will be individually tailored to that participant as designed by your personal mentor.
An important feature of achieving this award, is your knowledge of the standards relating to your occupational area as well as your organisations Aims and Policies and procedures. You are strongly advised to familiarise yourself with the standards you intend to use with your assessors and candidates. You will need to set aside time to work on your own portfolio.
This course provides you with the knowledge and skills to lead the internally quality assurance processes and to develop and improve systems at your Centre.
You need not have any prior qualifications to undertake the Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Process and Practice; however, recognition of prior learning can be accredited if you have completed and shown recent competency in the Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Process and Practice.
The planning and reviews will be undertaken on a one to one basis, either face to face or through electronic media devices. The knowledge area will be obtained either by written statements or recorded discussions assessed to level 4 qualification capacity. Subsequent practical evidence will require you to be assessed working as a Lead Internal Quality Assurer monitoring and quality assuring the work of two Internal Quality Assurers, each with a minimum of two assessors of their own through components of a qualification.
