The Event Assistant Standard is suitable for those working within a team of people in an events company or within the events department of a larger organisation. The role would usually provide support to a number of Event Planners or Project Managers by carrying out a diverse range of tasks necessary to plan, organise and deliver an event.
For example, searching for the right location and venue for the event; working with the design team on the look and feel of the event; or organising logistics like transportation and catering. The events organised may be for the company where the Event Assistant is working, or could be for a variety of different clients including large corporations, smaller companies and not-for-profit organisations.
The end point assessment consists of the following:
Portfolio of Evidence:
You will be supported to produce a Portfolio of Evidence that will contain evidence produced through real work activity during the duration of the apprenticeship.
Work Based Project:
You will be asked to produce project or practical case study that contains activity completed in the job role, such as the apprentice supporting a real event or pitch.
Professional Discussion:
A structured discussion between the apprentice and their independent end point assessor.
Those who complete the Level 3 Event Assistant Standards can progress onto a Higher Level 4 Apprenticeship.
It will also give you the skills to progress within a work career.
There are no formal entry requirements but you must be in a suitable job role and have sufficient capability at the right level to undertake the learning and assessment, and the ability to demonstrate work practice. If you do not hold an equivalent level 2 in functional skills or an English and Maths GCSE at Level 4 then you will be required to undertake an intense maths or English course at the start of the programme.
