This programme is designed to assist students onto mainstream further education or employment programmes, including supported internships. Learners are engaged in personal and social development, as well as employability skills, creative enterprise and community-based projects. There are three strands to this programme including work, enterprise and independence. You will have opportunities to take part in work experience placements in groups or as individuals. Many students also participate in vocational subject specific tasters across the College during their study programme.
This programme runs over three college days each week for 36 weeks during term time.
You will become more confident in maths, English and personal/social development throughout the programme. Each learner has personalised targets and outcomes to achieve that are identified from initial assessments made when they join the College, these are regularly reviewed throughout the programme to ensure that learners progress and develop, also that they are successful and their achievements are celebrated.
Progress onto a main college programme or a Supported Internship.
You will complete a portfolio of work which will be assessed and you will have the opportunity to achieve a nationally recognised qualification. You will also take formal assessments in English and Maths.

Once we have received your application, you will be invited to a Welcome Event and for a guidance discussion. Through the Welcome Event you will get the chance to learn more about college and your course. When you have your conditional offer, you will be invited and required to attend new student Taster Days during the summer before the start of your course.
