The Supply Chain Warehousing Operative L2 Apprenticeship Standard is for those working as or about to start work as forklift drivers or warehouse operatives. The programme is primarily aimed at candidates who undertake varied warehousing, storage and logistics activities and focuses on the safe and efficient receipt, movement, storage, handling and dispatch of goods in a warehousing and logistics environment.

 

About the Programme

The Supply Chain Warehousing Operative L2 Apprenticeship Standard is for those working as or about to start work as forklift drivers or warehouse operatives. The programme is primarily aimed at candidates who undertake varied warehousing, storage and logistics activities and focuses on the safe and efficient receipt, movement, storage, handling and dispatch of goods in a warehousing and logistics environment.



Apprenticeships are made up of standards of qualifications and training based on testing competency and developing practical, occupational and transferable skills.

PRACTICAL/COMPETENCY ELEMENT

Edexcel Level 2 Certificate in Warehousing and Storage (QCF).



Mandatory Units:

• Health, Safety and Security at work

• Develop effective working relationships with colleagues in logistics operations



Choose from a range of optional units to enhance your learning experience and tailor the programme to your individual training needs.



TRANSFERABLE SKILLS:

• Functional Skills in Maths Level 1 & 2 and English Level 1 & 2.

There is no upper age limit for Apprenticeships making it a course ideal for both those looking to start a career in a particular sector or those who are already employed and looking to get qualifications that recognise their experience and gives them opportunity to progress further in their career.

Progression

On completion of this course you may be able to progress onto an Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Warehousing and Storage. Career opportunities for those for those working as or about to start work as forklift drivers or warehouse operatives.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements but you must be in a job role that supports the completion of the framework.

End Point Assessment

These qualifications are delivered in the workplace. You will be assessed in the workplace using a variety of methods including observation, questioning, professional discussions, witness testimonials and candidate work products and statements.

Securing an apprenticeship position can be challenging, therefore we advise all aspiring apprentices, who are leaving school, to apply for a full-time course in the same subject. Having a Plan B ensures you can continue with your education in September and build the practical knowledge and confidence you need to progress onto an apprenticeship when one becomes available.
