These courses will provide you with an opportunity to develop your skills in the following areas:
Green skills – Through the Green Team and working at Anglesey Abbey and other community green spaces.
Retail and enterprise skills* – Through the development of your communication, team working and skills of persuasion.
Music for All – to develop your confidence in the production of music, skills of participation and production in music events on-site, on-line and in our community.
Art for All – to develop your skills in art and creative work to encourage your communication skills, co-ordination skills and creativeness.
ICT skills – to help you to use and develop your skills using a range of computer packages to help you with your skills for independence.
Cooking for All **– to help you develop confidence and skills in your domestic kitchen, including planning and preparing a snack, a lunch and a dinner. You will also develop your numeracy skills in the kitchen and using a budge.
The duration of the course will be by discussion with the Team Leader.
You will be able to progress onto other Adult for All courses and to access other part-time courses at the College or in your community.
You will need to demonstrate an interest in the area that you would like to follow and you will have a short meeting to discuss the best Adult for All choices that will help you to meet your own individual outcomes.
You will be assessed using a variety of approaches, including demonstration, participation and team-work. There will be regular feedback provided on how you can improve the skills that are being assessed so that you can become more independent.
