Course Overview

This bicycle maintenance programme focuses on basic skills needed to keep your bike running.

You will learn how to work safely while maintaining the following systems and learn to carry out: wheel hub maintenance, tyre replacement / puncture repair, adjusting rim brakes and basic adjustments to front and rear gears.

You will also learn about the essential safety checks carried out in a systematic cycle check.  You will work on a range of different bicycles learning how to diagnose and rectify typical faults.

The course is practical based and is designed to teach you the correct techniques of working on a bike and understand some of the specialist tools that are used within the bike trade.
