Working with Dyslexia
By studying this course you will:
• Develop an understanding of dyslexia
• Understand how dyslexics learn

During the first few weeks of the course you will gain an insight into current theory about how the brain of the dyslexic learner works. You will have a chance to study their strengths and weaknesses. We will spend a session looking in detail at the issues surrounding the transfer of information from short term to long term memory. After this introduction you will then have the chance to apply what you have learnt to academic areas of study such as reading, writing, spelling and maths.
