CRC Apprentice succeeds at Cambridge University HospitaL
Katie Landon joined Cambridge Regional College as an apprentice to study the Customer Service Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard in conjunction with Cambridge University Hospital.
The new style of apprenticeship standards was launched nationally in 2017 and differ from the original apprenticeship frameworks by including verification by an external independent examiner at the end of the qualification.
Katie studied for the qualification at CRC and learning onsite at the CHU, representing one of the first apprentices in the country to go through the new End Point Assessment criteria for apprentice standards. She was assessed by an external training provider and received Distinction grades for her work.
Jan Fouracre, Katie’s tutor from CRC, said “I am extremely proud of Katie. She worked really hard to achieve the customer service practitioner qualification on time and to a high standard, and it was great to hear the EPA say that her work was exemplary!”
