We work with over 1,500 employers across the region to train and develop their people, and many offer work experience and industry placements to you. Those on vocational study programmes will have work experience as part of the course, and for some this will be a full industry placement where during term time, you will spend two days a week on placement.
This puts you steps ahead when applying for roles as you will be able to reference real-world job experience and valuable skills employers are seeking. Plus you get to sample working life in chosen professions and sectors helping you identify what suits you.
As part of the Industry Placement initiative you will be required to undertake approximately 315 hours experience in the workplace.
All our courses are focused around developing your skills and knowledge ready for the workplace. Therefore this opportunity to complete a placement is available to all our students
Some courses will require students to complete a placement to pass their course. You will be informed of this during the enrolment process.
We understand CVs can be difficult to approach if you have never written one before. Our Careers and IAG team can support you in writing your CV.
Full time courses at Cambridge Regional College are 3 days a week, leaving 2 days a week for industry placement and students will only be expected to work at their placements during term time.
