Counselling Psychology Service
Counselling psychology aims to work with learners to examine mental health issues and explore the underlying problems that may have caused them.
What can I talk about?
You are able to discuss anything that is important to you. Amongst other things these might include:

Who is the Counselling psychologist?
Heena Chudasama is the resident Chartered Psychologist who is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Heena also clinically supervises trainee counsellors who are undertaking a placement at CRC. Heena works to the BPS’ code of practice and ethics.
How do I get a referral?
You can self-refer, ask a member of staff to refer you or parent could also assist you in getting contact.
When can I have an appointment?
Appointment are available on Fridays between the hours of 9.00am-4.15pm. Once you have been seen Heena, if appropriate, she may refer you to one of the trainee counsellors. Appointments with trainees are available at variables times during the week.
Will the counselling be confidential?
Counselling remains confidential however there are exceptions to this which will be explained at the first appointment. If your tutor has made the referral to counselling they will be informed of your attendance.
How will information about me kept?
Written records conform with the data protection act of 1998 and are kept securely and destroyed after six years. You are entitled to see these records.
How will your information be used?
No personal information will be passed on without your consent. However your generic information may be used for research purposes.
