Parents Matter Project

We are the UK Partner in Parents Matter, a project to help parents whose first language isn’t English.

We know that parents play a valuable role in supporting their children to have the best opportunities but there are so many careers to choose from and jobs are harder to find.

The Project aims to support parents whose first language isn’t English by giving you extra information and advice so you can help your child make the best plans for their future.

We are offering a series of free events and activities for parents to find out more about careers, employment and job seeking tips, please see the attached information:

The College can also offer you free English language courses providing you are over 18 years of age and have some English language skills. You will practise speaking, listening, reading and writing. If you are interested come in to our Reception any Wednesday between 12.00 – 13.00pm. The classes run Monday to Friday 14.00 – 16.00pm and Tuesday and Thursday 18.00 – 20.00pm and you will be taught by trainee teachers.
