Our specialist media facilities provide a professional environment in which to study for a great range of careers. You can become a journalist, a web designer, a radio broadcaster, a filmmaker, an events manager or a games developer – just some of the many exciting career options on offer.
Our students are continually producing creative work – they write and publish their own award-winning student magazine, make their own films and computer games and run their own radio station.
We have strong links with different media sectors, enabling us to offer a fantastic work-related experience within the industry. Our media programmes provide the knowledge, challenge and hands-on training needed to prepare you for employment or further study.
Past students have gone on to universities across the country – including Coventry, Manchester Met, Brighton and Norwich University of the Arts – to study marketing, event management, games technology, journalism, cinematography, digital film, visual art, animation and broadcasting. Students are also well equipped to go straight into the workplace.
In addition to your main qualification in Media, you will gain other skills within the college’s ‘Passport to Success’. Lecturer in Computer Games Development
“As a student at Cambridge Regional College, I found people with whom I could share interests and feel like I belonged. My lecturers helped me build not only my specialist skills, but also build my confidence and who I am today! I owe them a lot, and I am still friends with them now.
As a tutor, my main love is being able to show learners they can do it! I work a lot with the students to help them find what makes them tick and understand their academic ability. We are all so different at learning new information, and it is vital to find everyone’s way.”
