Information for Schools

Our Careers & Advice Team acts as the main point of contact for secondary schools within the catchment area of the college. We provide a number of services to help schools provide well-balanced advice on CRC’s courses.

These services include:

  • IAG via email, telephone, LiveChat or in person
  • Careers Advice (please call 01223 226315 to make an individual appointment)
  • Transition support for students in school
  • College Taster Sessions, designed to raise awareness of particular career choices and/or post-16 options
  • College Tours for groups or individual students or school staff
  • Presentations at vocational carousels/career events. These can be general or course specific
  • Attendance at Post 16 evenings
  • Attendance at school careers events
  • Classroom talks on a range of topics from college life to courses to progression
  • Assembly talks to Year 9, 10 and 11 students
  • Annual Careers Advisor Event – this annual event is organised to give colleagues an update on College developments and new course provision and is an opportunity to meet other colleagues undertaking similar roles
