Working at CRC

Working at Cambridge Regional College

We are a large and inspirational centre of learning based in Cambridge on a purpose-built site, with outstanding teaching and leisure facilities and a reputation for excellence in a number of fields. Our campus facilities are among the best in the country.

The college has been graded as Good with some outstanding features by Ofsted, achieved Beacon Status for our supportive education provision, been successfully accredited IIP and praised for our contribution to the local economy.

The Park is the college’s training and commercial centre, where Catering, Hair and Beauty students are trained and given valuable real-life work experience in our purpose-built hair and beauty salons and restaurant – all offering special rates to staff.  There is also a large, fully equipped sports centre with state of the art exercise and fitness facilities and a travel agency on site. Elsewhere on campus there is a refectory, a Costa coffee and a shop.

The college benefits from fast access from the A14,  free car parking and modern and spacious vocational workshops and studios. New £3million engineering facilities and a £3million construction workshop are ensuring that students are trained in the skills employers need.

CRC is a college to be proud of and proud in.  With around 600 staff, 3,500 full-time students and 4,500 apprentices, the campus atmosphere is busy and vibrant. You will find a modern teaching environment with lots of energy and interaction.  We strive to achieve very high standards of teaching.

CRC has been accredited with the Investors in People award since 1998 and our culture focuses on providing an excellent place to work. We try to accommodate flexible working hours wherever possible. We believe in equality of opportunity and have a very diverse population of both staff and students. You will notice the college has a tolerant and inclusive culture, which is evident throughout the campus.
