Accommodation

Students live with a local English-speaking host in their home, usually based within five miles of CRC’s Science Park campus at Kings Hedges. The host provides accommodation, together with breakfast and evening meal each day, plus lunch on Saturday and Sunday. A homestay does not necessarily mean father, mother and children – we have a diverse range of homestay providers.

When you enrol on a course you need to specify the type of accommodation you require. You will then be sent an application form. The accommodation officer will arrange a homestay on your behalf. We also advise you to have a valid insurance policy for your personal belongings before moving into your homestay accommodation. You can do this when applying for your travel insurance.

New prices as from September 2018 can be found HERE.

£170 for single room and £165 per person in a twin room, and a one off administration charge of £50 per student.

For more information in what you can expect from homestay accommodation, please read our flyer HERE.

Our accommodation officer has contact details of local providers of student residences. If you prefer to stay in residential accommodation please indicate this on the accommodation form. The accommodation officer will help to put you in contact with the relevant provider.

Please note residential accommodation is only suitable for students aged 18 years and over, and all fees will be paid directly to the residence.

Please note that we cannot accept any responsibility for these types of accommodation.

If this is your preference, please indicate this on the accommodation form.

Accommodation is in a shared house with other students. In addition to rent, students need to budget for gas, electricity, water and food. You may also be asked to pay a deposit or fees before you are allowed to move in.

Private rented accommodation is only suitable for students aged 18 years and over. Please note that the fees will be paid directly to the estate agent/landlord and the college plays no part in this arrangement.

Please note that we cannot accept any responsibility for these types of accommodation.

We are always looking for reliable and friendly new HOMESTAY HOSTS.

Please contact the accommodation team by telephone on 01223 418565 or email accommodation@camre.ac.uk or chammerton@camre.ac.uk and they will be happy to talk you through the process.
