College Corporation

Cambridge Regional College is governed by a Corporation consisting of 16 Governors. They include representatives of local businesses, the community and other local institutions, two staff Governors, and two student Governors. The Governors are responsible for the finances and management of the College, for setting the strategic priorities of the College and overseeing its performance.

In order to conduct business effectively, Governors meet as a full board and through five Committees, which meet each term. The minutes of the meetings (which show the decisions taken by the Governors) are posted on this website, and the majority of papers are available from the Clerk on request. The timetable of committee meetings is provided on this website and is updated regularly. Members of the public are allowed to attend meetings for certain items, subject to the agreement of the Chair in advance of the meeting. If you would like to attend, please contact the Clerk.

Governors serve for a period of four years and are eligible for re-appointment. They are recruited through public advertisement and through contacts which the College has; all governors are recommended to the Corporation by the Search and Governance Committee. The Governors are committed to equal opportunities and they welcome interest from all sectors of the community. They are keen to ensure that the membership of the Corporation reflects the community it serves.

Both staff and student Governors participate fully in the decision-making of the Corporation.

Currently, the Chair of the Corporation is Vernice Key, the Vice Chair is Heather Du Quesnay, and the Clerk to the Governors is Emily Baldwin. Click here for a full list of governors.

The Clerk is the first person to contact if you want to find out more about the work of the Corporation or the role of Governor, are seeking further information, or if you wish to contact Governors. The address of the Clerk is:

Emily Baldwin, Clerk to the Corporation, Cambridge Regional College, Science Park Campus, Kings Hedges Road, Cambridge CB4 2QT
Email: ebaldwin@camre.ac.uk

The College is committed to providing high quality education and skills training and is always keen to hear from Governors who reflect the community it serves. The position of Corporation member is voluntary and unremunerated but it is a very fulfilling role in supporting training and education in Cambridge and the wider area. Please contact Emily Baldwin if you would like to find out more.
