Building for the Future

New Developments at the College

Cambridge Regional College has completed an exciting £23million redevelopment involving a major expansion of our Science Park campus and the move to a single site. We have invested heavily in expanding and improving our facilities for Hair & Beauty, Hospitality & Catering, Motor Vehicle and Sport. All our main subject areas are now based at the Science Park campus, including Hair & Beauty and Catering, which have also expanded to include modern salons and restaurants open to the public. This redevelopment has given us superb new accommodation for teaching and learning, with extensive facilities for students across the College.

The development of the single campus includes:

New Hair & Beauty and Catering & Hospitality Facilities

Our new state-of-the-art Hair, Beauty, Catering & Hospitality Academy has some of the
best-equipped classrooms, training studios and kitchens in the country. Professional hair and beauty salons, a new restaurant and a bistro are all open to the public.

Additional Sports Facilities

An extra Sports Hall, similar in size to the original hall, has been built to complement the recently refurbished gym facility. The new building has enabled the College to accommodate more indoor sports activities for teaching and external bookings. In addition to exisiting student recreational facilities, a Multi-Use Games Area has been created, with seating areas for socialising.

Dedicated Motor Vehicle Workshops

Extensively-equipped new Motor Vehicle workshops provide first rate specialist training areas for students. The £multi-million facility includes 13 vehicle ramps, a diagnostic rolling road, a customer reception area, Electronics/Electrical workshop, tyre and wheel centre and two IT suites.

New Entrance

A new light and spacious visitors’ entrance has been created at the front of the main building, adjacent to the Sports Hall, providing dedicated areas for meetings.
