Introduction

There is something for everyone at CRC - whether you want to continue to gain the knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications needed for good employment, to progress in your career, or to move on to further and higher education. This prospectus explains the excellent range of courses on offer, how you can apply and details about the wide range of College Services.

We are proud of our track record in helping students to make the most of the courses we offer. We can help you to achieve your full potential and to succeed and progress into employment, to further courses or to higher education. We continue to improve what we offer and welcome feedback from students.

Learning is a partnership. Students' commitment to hard work on, and enjoyment of the right course is critical. With good teaching, support and encouragement from our well qualified, experienced and enthusiastic staff, this is a winning combination. They will support you in activities, visits and clubs outside your courses, and encourage you to provide feedback to staff and the College.

We are clearly focussed on developing vocational and employment-related skills and our staff are very experienced in working in the areas that they now teach. We have outstanding facilities and equipment to help students succeed on relevant, exciting courses.

In the last full OFSTED inspection of the College, inspectors judged CRC to be strong. In particular they highlighted the responsiveness and inclusive nature of the College, the quality of teaching, accommodation, learning resources and good learner support. Inspectors found that learners receive good advice, guidance and assessment before enrolment, that progress on courses is reviewed regularly with students, and that staff provide good informal support. Direct feedback from students indicates that they like: the outstanding learning facilities; supportive, accessible and friendly staff; the friendly atmosphere; good subject support; being treated as adults, fairly and equally, and the variety of courses to study.

CRC is a College to be proud of and proud in. We are celebrating our 21st Anniversary in 2009/10. The College continues to go from strength to strength, with an increasing offer of vocational courses and Apprenticeships being delivered to an ever-growing number of students. Come and visit us, talk through what you want to do, seek the advice and guidance you need and if you feel CRC is right for you, do join us.
