Fully funded vocational training for the unemployed
Have you been unemployed for the past 6 months?
If so, we maybe able to provide you with fully funded training opportunities that meet your individual needs and help you get back into work.
We provide training, tailored to your individual needs, that leads to nationally recognised qualifications and does not affect your benefits.
Your experience with Cambridge Regional College will include the following:
- A one to one session with specialist Information, Advice and Guidance staff to advise and look at options for learning, training and employment
- Training needs analysis and individual learner support with regular progress reviews
- The opportunity to attend group and 1-2-1 sessions in CV writing, job searching, interview techniques, mock interviews and application form help.

- CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
- Employability Skills
- First Aid at Work
- Level First Line Management Certificate
- Health and Social Care
- IOSH Managing Safely (Health and Safety)
- IT from beginners through to level 2
- Level 3 Management
- Retail
- Securities Industry Association License (CCTV, Appointed First Aider, Door Supervision, Guarding, Conflict Management and Physical Intervention)
- Team Leading (Level 2)
Eligibility
To be eligible for free training you have to:
- Be aged 19+
- Have been claiming Job Seekers Allowance for 6 months or more
- Not be receiving any training anywhere else e.g. not working with Seetec or the YMCA
Duration of training
Dependent on learner needs.
Cost
This programme is funded by the Skills Funding Agency so once eligibility has been confirmed training is fully funded.
Location
Training will take place at Cambridge Regional College’s main campus on Kings Hedges Road.
