Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships are aimed at young people aged 16 to 24. However, they are also available for the 25+ age group.

As an employer, you will benefit from low cost, value-added training that is tailored to your requirements. You will also gain from having motivated and well trained staff with essential skills, enhanced staff morale, better employee retention rates and improved efficiency and productivity.

Apprentices receive relevant industry training that can have an immediate impact on your business, and you are involved at every step in the planning of their training programme.

For an apprentice, an Apprenticeship isn't just a job; it's the first step towards a long-term career. Your business could be one of thousands across Britain that have benefited so far from training an apprentice.

Did you know that over 234,000 apprentices are working in a number of businesses right now?

As a College, we are always looking for good quality work placements to give our students the opportunity to experience the industry first hand. The College works closely with a large number of local employers and values the constructive input they are able to provide to our courses and our students.

If you think you may be able to offer some short or long term placements for one or more of our students, we would love to hear from you.

What’s it all about?

Apprentices make a contribution to your business from day one. Apprentices learn while they work, so their knowledge is up-to-date. Because their training is on-the-job, the practical skills they gain are the ones that are right for your business.
