Cambridge Regional College is governed by a Corporation consisting of 16 Governors. They include representatives of local businesses, the community and other local institutions, two staff Governors, and two student Governors. The Governors are responsible for the finances and management of the College, for setting the strategic priorities of the College and overseeing its performance.
In order to conduct business effectively, Governors meet as a full board and through five Committees, which meet each term. Although the meetings are not open to the public, the minutes of the meetings (which show the decisions taken by the Governors) are posted on this website. The timetable of committee meetings is provided on this website and is updated regularly. Click here to find out more about monthly meetings.

Governors serve for a period of four years and are eligible for re-appointment. They are recruited through public advertisement and through contacts which the College has; all governors are recommended to the Corporation by the Search and Development Committee. The Governors are committed to equal opportunities and they welcome interest from all sectors of the community. They are keen to ensure that the membership of the Corporation reflects the community it serves.
The two staff Governors are elected by members of College staff and serve for four years, after which an election must be held. The two student Governors are elected by the students each year.
Both staff and student Governors participate fully in the decision-making of the Corporation.
Currently, the Chair of the Corporation is Vernice Key, the Vice Chair is Barry Popplewell, and the Clerk to the Governors is Emily Baldwin. Click here for a full list of governors.
