January Part-time Courses

START THE NEW YEAR WITH A GREAT NEW LEISURE CLASS AT CRC

Cambridge Regional College has a new range of part-time courses starting in January – offering a great opportunity to learn a new hobby or pick up the skills to keep your home and car in top condition.

Starting a new class is the perfect way to banish the winter blues, so if the thought of a bleak January is getting you down, then have a look a the choices on offer – there really is something for everyone.

If you want to try your hand at scriptwriting, pottery or music production, then CRC has the class to help you. And if you’ve always wanted to get to grips with DIY, learn how to conquer those tricky tiling jobs or save money with some basic car maintenance skills, then now’s the time.

An introduction to woodwork will teach you the tools and methods you need for most woodworking jobs around the house, and a plastering course will give you skills to skim a full-height wall. If your ambition goes further than fixing a leaking tap, then the college’s 10-week plumbing course could be the answer – and could save a fortune in call-out charges.

If creativity is more appealing, then metalcraft, printmaking or crafts evening classes will fire your imagination, while the gentle martial art of T’ai Chi will help keep both body and mind healthy. Interior design classes - suitable for both beginners and those with some experience - could even kick-start a great new career for talented students.

One of the college’s most popular courses is jewellery-making, so if you want to create something special this could be just right for you. Classes are taught in a spacious design studio and a well-equipped workshop with a forge, where you’ll learn about the materials, techniques and processes of the art.
